Hi,
New to the forum.

Could some1 tell me what is involved in a Judo grading?

Is it sparring... Showing certain tecniques against a resisting opponent, and having to 'win' this sparring?

How long would it take to gain grades/ belt levels in Judo, if you attended 1or 2 times a week?

Cheers Very Happy

Depends on what organisation you practice your Judo under, and what age you are.

For adults, practicing under JudoScotland, very basically, beginners don't fight, they just need to pass a technical grading.
Once you get to Orange belt, you then need to win competitive matches, either at gradings or actual tournaments, to gain the grading points you need. You also have to do technical gradings too.

Theres a bit more to it than that, but thats it in a nutshell.
