Try to keep the libelous comments and outright slagging to a manageable minimum too, eh?

7 medals for Titan Terrors

There were some fantastic performances by the Titan team at The West Side Judo Addict Open. Teams from Edinburgh, Motherwell, Glasgow, Falkirk and the Borders were in attendance to make this a tough tournament. All the boys fought extremely well with Lewis picking up the silver in his category and the rest winning Bronze medals. The new rules for under twelves provided some spectacular throws that were swiftly followed by some nifty ground techniques. Coach Paul said ” All of the boys fought out of their skin and made some moves towards being the Judo stars of the future, a bit more hard work on the mat and they’ll be unstoppable, I’m very proud of them all”.

The club would like to thank all of the parents and members who turned out to support the boys.

Western Area Kyu & Dan Grade Open

May 9, 2007 on 5:23 pm | In Events, News | 1 Comment

Stuart and Peter attended the Western Area Open in Kilmarnock last weekend.

Stuart took the silver medal in the blue belt category and also collected enough points to obtain his brown belt. He lost out in the final after suffering an injury to his wrist in an earlier fight. Stuart added another two scalps to his collection from rival Glasgow club Pro Judo winning all his fights convincingly by ippon scores.

Peter fought some of his best fights so far and took fifth place in the brown belt category. Peter had broken his toe earlier in the competition and reminiscent of “Daniel san “from Karate Kid fought on. In his pool they had all beaten each other and had to fight again, he progressed through collecting points for his Black belt and into the knockout stage where he had to compete against a much larger fighter (120kg).

The two players fought really well against some difficult opponents and represented Titan Judo very well.

Well done to both of them.
